How to allow RDP
I found out that Content filtering is the one that is blocking the RDP. when I disable all modules the RDP works fine. then I tried enabling the module one by one and I manage to see who's blocking the RDP.
The question is how do I exclude the RDP?
This is my current setup. am doing RDP on the test machine.
The "ET POLICY RDP connection confirm" can be disabled in menu Content Filter. Here, click "configure" in the row with Policy, then disable the option like this and click OK:
There are also other rules that may block RDP once this one has been disabled. The method is the same: look in the Advanced IPS statistics if there is anything blocking, then enter the configuration menu and disable the blocking rule. When the block has been removed from the IPS, it's possible to block port 3389 in the firewall except for the allowed IPs.
